Grant and Wendy officially moved out yesterday. They're off for adventure and travel and nursing about the country. We will miss them.
We'll see them again at GenCon this year, if not before. I found hotel rooms for Paul and me and Justin on priceline. We got an incredible deal. We're going to be staying in the Westin in downtown Indy (the closest hotel to the actual convention center) for $110 a night. I knew that William Shatner wouldn't steer us wrong. He's my hero.
Speaking of Star Trek, Paul and I finished watching Deep Space Nine yesterday. I really enjoyed the whole show, and the end was very moving. I'm sort of sad that we're done, though. But then again, Paul got the first season of The X Files for Christmas, and we're also working our way through season three of The 4400. And I would love to start re-watching Fishigi Yugi. I don't know if Paul will go for it, though, since he's not big into silly anime.
I'm hoping to get my GURPS game started up, but no one is answering my emails about it. Grrr. I know Linda still wants to play, but I haven't heard from anyone else.
Since we have no more Grant and Wendy, we also don't have internet at home. I asked Paul to take care of it, and it just hasn't happened yet. I'm at work now, and I will be here distressingly late tonight (I'll probably get out of here around 8:30) so Paul will probably take my laptop to Panera or someplace like that for the free internet.
However, even as we lost the internet, we gained a fridge! Wendy bought a new fridge for their apartment, and I figured why should we use our old crappy one with the nice new one just sitting there? It's bigger than our old fridge, and white instead of that weird olive color, and more fuel efficient, and did I mention that it's bigger?? It's pretty exciting.
We also got Paul's car back yesterday. We met Matt, Mom, and Ian at the Applebees in Cranberry and I bought them lunch to thank them for meeting us halfway. Ian did a great job on the bodywork.
Other than that, things are normal. I got my swan painting and my tiny Turkish rug hung up today, along with my shelf that I made in wood shop. I also did a load of laundry, took out the trash, worked out for about an hour, started a new story, and filled my car with gas. Now I'm waiting for my first client of the day, and she's looking like she is going to be late. I hate it when people are late. Grar.
