Last night Paul and I invented a new rating system. Well, really, I'll take most of the credit, but he was there and he encouraged me.
It's a cuteness scale. Like for rating how cute a movie or a book or something is. It's a scale from 1-5 of kittens. But since you can't cut a kitten in half (you sick bastards) 1 bunny = .5 kitten and 1 squirel = .25 kitten = .5 bunny. In our system, therefore, if you wanted to give the movie Sky High a cute rating of 3.5, you would award it 3 kittens and 1 bunny.
I know, it's brilliant. Don't hurt yourselves running out to spread the word. But spread the word. ^_~

*many happy dances and stuff*
My thanksgiving break was pretty much all around awesome. On Wednesday, I went out for Thai food with Alison. And it was good and we had a nice time. Then, on Thanksgiving, I went to Paul's parents and we had a lot of food and watched a movie and it was nice. Then, on Friday I hung out around the house, did laundry and all that fun stuff. Paul had to work on Friday. We went to go see The Fountain with Grant, Wendy, and Ben. I can't remember which day that was, though. I think it was Friday. It might have been Wednesday. Whatever, it doesn't matter. We liked it. It was weird, but very pretty. And apparently it doesn't have any CG effects--the special effects are chemical reactions filmed through a microscope. I'm not going to say what happens or what it's about, but if you do go see it, be prepared to wonder what the heck is going on for at least 30 minutes.
On Saturday, Paul and I took Wendy and Grant's brother out for lunch at the same Thai place I went with Alison. Then we waited around for Hilary to show up. Ben came over while we waited and we recreated the Coffeepots. So I got to play Coral again! Woot! We played D&D and then played Trivial Pursuit. Ben won. Hilary didn't leave Michigan till after 7pm, so we didn't get to see her. I was sad. But we'll see her eventually, so it's all okay. And if we never see her again, I get to keep the anime I borrowed. ^_~
Then, Sunday. Yesterday was wonderful. Paul and I went to visit my parents. And they were nice to him. For the first time. It's a major turning point. I'm so happy. My dad took Paul out and taught him how to shoot a rifle. And Paul hit the target every time. ^_^ My mom and I made apple pie and then Ian aired up my tires, then he and Paul watched Lethal Weapon II together while my parents and I went for a walk. Then we had steak and potato skins and corn for dinner with warm pie and ice cream for dessert, then Paul and my mom and I talked about Tai Chi and stage combat and that sort of thing, then Paul and my dad talked about video games and different consoles and it was AWESOME. Then we went home and I did some homework and Paul worked on gaming article stuff, then I played Neverwinter Nights for a while.
So, yeah. I'm happy.

Back from Bradford
This weekend was...good. The play was really good, and Hilary was great in it. Everyone in it was pretty great, really. I enjoyed it. Of course, it was hard being there without Savannah, because I connect Bradford Theater to her--if she wasn't in it, she's the one I went with. So I got all teary because I missed her and I went and called her and we were both crying because we missed each other. There are a lot of things that I miss about school. And it was strange because last year I belonged there. It was home and I was a part of it. But now that's over and it's not all that easy to just let go of. I haven't quite found my place here yet. I do have a great apartment with my great boyfriend across the hall from my great friends, and I am going to a great school with great people. But it's not the same yet. Of course, I was flat out miserable for at least the first half of freshman year, so I guess these things just take time. And at least now I'm not totally starting out from scratch.
We met Ben's friend Dan this weekend because he went with us. He's cool. We got in really late on Friday, stopped by Perkins to say hi to Hilary, who threw herself at is in a crazy ball of happy Hilary, which really made me feel welcome. Then we sat and talked for a while, then Paul and I went back to our hotel. In the morning we were up before everyone else so we walked to the bank and then were almost to campus when Ben drove out and picked us up. Then we went to lunch at Arby's with Dan, Hilary, and Ben. Then we went back to our hotel room and played Apples to Apples which Ben bought at the gaming store. It was very cool. Is a great game. And I won. ^_^ Then Hilary's family showed up and everyone else went to the Mexican restaurant but Paul didn't want to go for food yet so we hung out in the hotel then Ben took us to Burger King then we went to the show and I enjoyed it then had my little meltdown on the phone outside with Savannah. Which was embarassing, because even though I didn't actually cry much my face was still a total mess. Ugh.
We went to the cast party because I wanted to talk to Adam. Which I did, and I'm glad of it. We ended up dragging Paul out and we talked about gaming and stuff till Ben drove us back to our hotel. Then, in the morning Lance came and took me and Paul to Pizza Hut because Ben and Dan were still sleeping, but they showed up at the restaurant eventually. Lunch was good, I was happy to see Lance again, even if he was tired because he'd been up late at a wedding the night before.
On the drive back Ben listened to the Steeler game and I'd never listened to sports on the radio before and it's sort of weird. I tried to read but the road was just bit windy and my tummy didn't support the idea. So I listened to the game and looked out the window. I was pretty shocked when they pulled it out in the end. I thought it was over after that punt return. Ben was happy. Of course he couldn't shout about it because he was already hoarse from the Pitt game. Crazy football fans. ^_^

It's Friday again
I've had a decent week. And today is Friday, so I get to go home early. And I'm the only one in my office.
I know have learned a full Swedish routine for the body. Woot. ^_^ And we started aromatherapy this week, and I am still doing well in anatomy. Alison is putting my application in at Whole Foods today.
Things keep going on just as they have been. On Tuesdays, I run D&D. Paul and I watch movies and tv and play City of Heroes. I am overall happy with my life. I can't wait to actually start my massage career. I just signed up to run an RPGA event in my home and I am not exactly sure how it'll go, but it should be fun. Paul's going to start a new GURPS game soon. We're going to Bradford this weekend to see Hilary in the play. Next week is Thanksgiving and I'm going to Paul's parent's with him. I might get together with Alison and Diane on Wednesday. We're hoping to get out for lunch at a Thai place that Alison likes. I've never had Thai food. I hope it's good.
Aromatherapy is really cool. I'm thinking about incorporating it into my massage practice. Like having custom massage oils for different clients based on what they like and what can help them. Aromatherapy is a lot like magic.
I've ordered a massage chair. The school is selling used ones, so I told Kari that I'd take on. I'm pretty excited about it.
I talked to Jillian this week, and that makes me happy. She's supposed to send me some stuff to read. Alison also gave me a couple books. And I bought an aromatherapy handbook, and I'm thinking about picking up an Alexander Technique book. And some more essential oils. I already picked up three. ^_^
I'm rambling, I know. But what else is there to do? I'm at work. And don't suggest that I work, that's just silly.
Man, I hope this weekend doesn't suck.

I know it's been a while.
I got my massage table on Friday. It's everything I dreamed it would be. I gave Paul a massage, then on Saturday I went to visit my parents and gave my mom a massage for my first Student Evaluation homework thing, then gave my dad a back massage. I also did a client intake on my dad for Principles of Touch. We had chicken pie for dinner (yay chicken pie!!) and then I went home. Paul and I watched Crash, which was good but too real-lifey and a little depressing. There were some really, really cool parts, though. Mainly with the locksmith guy and his adorable daughter.
Yesterday, Paul and I went to Smokey Bones for dinner and hit Walmart for some shopping. We got Cars and watched it when we got home. ^_^ I also played a lot of City of Heroes yesterday and my character is up to level 17. And, in the morning, Paul made me breakfast in bed. It was french toast and sausage, and it was delicious. He's wonderful.
Alison brought me an application for Whole Foods, I'm working on filling that out. I also applied at Starbucks and a photography studio.
I asked my boss and one of my coworkers about doing an SE on them. I'm trying to challenge myself. Everyone else I'll work on will probably be a friend. I don't like my boss, and my coworker is pretty much a stranger. If I can give them good massages then I can do so for anyone.
World D&D Day went well. I got a lot of free minis for running. It made me happy.
I'm working on a new story. I've got a cool world for it and I like the character, but I don't know what I'm doing for plot.
School is still going well, work is still sucking. We're going to Bradford for the play. I think that's this weekend.
