My thanksgiving break was pretty much all around awesome. On Wednesday, I went out for Thai food with Alison. And it was good and we had a nice time. Then, on Thanksgiving, I went to Paul's parents and we had a lot of food and watched a movie and it was nice. Then, on Friday I hung out around the house, did laundry and all that fun stuff. Paul had to work on Friday. We went to go see The Fountain with Grant, Wendy, and Ben. I can't remember which day that was, though. I think it was Friday. It might have been Wednesday. Whatever, it doesn't matter. We liked it. It was weird, but very pretty. And apparently it doesn't have any CG effects--the special effects are chemical reactions filmed through a microscope. I'm not going to say what happens or what it's about, but if you do go see it, be prepared to wonder what the heck is going on for at least 30 minutes.
On Saturday, Paul and I took Wendy and Grant's brother out for lunch at the same Thai place I went with Alison. Then we waited around for Hilary to show up. Ben came over while we waited and we recreated the Coffeepots. So I got to play Coral again! Woot! We played D&D and then played Trivial Pursuit. Ben won. Hilary didn't leave Michigan till after 7pm, so we didn't get to see her. I was sad. But we'll see her eventually, so it's all okay. And if we never see her again, I get to keep the anime I borrowed. ^_~
Then, Sunday. Yesterday was wonderful. Paul and I went to visit my parents. And they were nice to him. For the first time. It's a major turning point. I'm so happy. My dad took Paul out and taught him how to shoot a rifle. And Paul hit the target every time. ^_^ My mom and I made apple pie and then Ian aired up my tires, then he and Paul watched Lethal Weapon II together while my parents and I went for a walk. Then we had steak and potato skins and corn for dinner with warm pie and ice cream for dessert, then Paul and my mom and I talked about Tai Chi and stage combat and that sort of thing, then Paul and my dad talked about video games and different consoles and it was AWESOME. Then we went home and I did some homework and Paul worked on gaming article stuff, then I played Neverwinter Nights for a while.
So, yeah. I'm happy.
