GenCon

I forgot to mention GenCon in my summer over-view. I went with Paul and we met his friend Justin there. We had a good time. I was nervous about running, but most of my games went really well. The only one that didn't was one when only two people showed up. But one of them was a little girl who hugged me at the end, so I guess it didn't suck too hard. We didn't get a chance to play anything because of the way our time worked out, but we did demo some card games. (I don't like card games.) We also demoed (demo-ed? whatever.) the new mini game from WOTC. It was cool. The highlights were the GenCon play, which was the funniest thing I've ever seen, and going to an Q&A with Rich Burlew who writes Order of the Stick. I got a OOTS t-shirt, and he signed it. Is awesome, and I loveseses it. And he's cool and one of my two favorite webcomics and I got to see him. There was a pirate preformance and a dance. I went to an anime Q&A and got free anime. We got free stuff including some really sweet dice. I bought a whole bunch of new D10's. I got a Trigun setting book and GURPS Uplift. And I got free minis! And Kevin Sorbo was there, apparently being a dick, but I did see him. I didn't pay $30 for his autograph, though, which I feel was wise. Paul and I are looking forward to going again next year!
