Turning tides and falling stars

Yesterday was a kind of shit day. I woke up just in time to take the quickest shower ever and run to Baily's Beads. Then I spent most of the day doing pretty much nothing except my laundry, which cost $5. Then work, which wasn't bad, Angel was on tv, so that was fun. Then I came home, showered, and started putting my laundry away.

After that, it was time to run D&D. The experience was rather frustrating. Running for 7 people is just crazy. No one listened to anything I said, and it just sucked. But hopefully next week will be better. If I had posted last night, I would have ranted a lot more, but it's just not in me right now.

I skipped British Literature today, and poetry. I feel terribly empty and washed out and overall just kinda shitty. I need a hug. But that might just be dread about going to news writing. I hate it so much, but I have to go.

I ran for a number of people back in Connecticut. Half of them never listened, which annoyed the crap out of me. Eventually you get to the point where if they don't listen, skip their turn. this works especially well in combat (if they notice. sometimes they get prissy if they do. sometimes they don't notice, but in either case the problem solves itself).

Is that Grant posting? Yeah, and you can go ahead and say we never pay attention either. I thought Paul (and everyone else too) was going to drive you buggy towards the end of the last campaign you ran in Bradford w/the small menagerie including an awakened hippogriff, a horse, a guy becoming a half dragon and his pregnant wife.

Hehehe, yes I'm Grant. Forgot to sign fred on the bottom. I think I used that technique in that campaign too 'cause paul just kept TALKING and TALKING. He must have missed 4 rounds of combat that one time. Then there was the time he got lynched by the mob of angry halflings 'cause he wanted a new character, and then decided he wanted his old character back. that was a fun game.

I have a high-level campaign laid out, which i keep telling people about. the problem comes from the fact that i've got no one to run it with at the moment. I was thinking of making a one-shot in the same setting (its the same world as all my games, except I did a lot of work on extra-planar stuff) for halloween. I don't know exactly what we're doing yet though. at this point i suspect we'll have time for two or three oneshots or a single really long one. So you coming Jamie?
