So, today wasn't bad. Went caving with Jay, Elisha, Savannah, and Vita. I suck at caving, I've not got the upper body strengh and manuverability (id est I'm just too big). When we were down through this one little bit, I'd just dropped to the bottom, and I looked up and realized that I was not going to be able to get back up. I had to go sideways, because my hips were to wide to face the ledge, and there were no real foot or handholds that I could reach. So, after a bit of swearing and crying, they got a rope around me and another one of the guys, Artie, came and let me stand on his shoulders to get out. It was really, really scary. I was completely dependent on other people to get me out of there, and I do not like being helpless like that. It was just horrible, stuck there, unable to move, too short to reach the handholds and too tall to be able to scrunch up enough to wedge my body so I could inch up. All I could do is keep from panicking and keep telling myself to breathe.
After that, I just kinda sat around with Savannah, Jay, and Vita while Elisha and Artie and a couple of other people explored. Wasn't the most exciting time ever. But it wasn't bad. It was nice outside, and the trees were pretty.
Then we had lunch, then we came back here, everyone showered, then Jay, Elisha and I went to the thrift store, where I bought Trivial Pursuit for $1.99, the same edition that I have at home, I think. It's pure delight. I love it soo much. Then we went out for dinner, then came back here and played my wonderful new, very old game. The game is still in progress, I'm not sure if it will be picked back up or not. Right now, Jay and I each have four pies, and Paul and Elisha are on a team with two.
Then, we played Mage. Again, things not going so well for Serena, though Paul and Suzanne's characters did make it back. But after losing them, she's really not prepared to depend on them again. She's busy trying to take care of Kevin, the mage who owned the coffee shop that she was working at. She found him all beat up outside of the coffee shop, so she took him to the hospital. However, with more crap continuing to go down, Kevin was tortured, and his avatar was killed, so he can never do any magic again ever. Of course, Serena doesn't know that. Then, she's finally interacting a little with Jeff's character, because he was in Kevin's house, passed out drunk and full of bullet holes, and she is sort of house sitting. So, she drug him to the hospital. She's spending lots of time there lately. She spent most of the rest of her time perusing Kevin's magicy library.
Jay is sleeping, and I should probably get to bed. I am not sure if I'm being a very good hostess... I hope he's having fun. *sigh* I'm beginning to wonder if you lose the ability to just hang out with old friends and talk and be silly, if eventually you go through some horrid maturation process where the only time you can spent with your friends is over lunch or coffee or some other appointment type arranged thing. I hope not. That would be sad.
